Purchasing a Tayana 52, aft cockpit. Looking for owners and as much info regarding this specific design as possible. Also, anyone have the beam at the waterline for this model, perhaps the information obtained for phrf rating. Thanks!

The author is a dealer-importer, and worked with the factory and Robert Perry. Pretty good read.

We looked at several over the years, but then the Taswell came up without teak decks. One I spent some time on is Polar Bear that was for sale in San Diego last spring. The owner bought it from Craig Breedlove (Miss America- Salt Flats), who bought it from Lowell North. Had a good 3 hour inspection and general discussion, current owner had taken it around the world and was living on it. Real knowledgeable on the boat.

Both the CC 52 and the CC 55 were on my short list before I bought

I even considered Polar Bear but she's been for sale forever .. well at least 4 years... at 250K then up to 280K then back to 250K.. always with the same tear in the genoa.

Seemed fishy to me... (opinion)
