Re: St Martin to E Spain

Hey ho Phil - I'll be in SXM next week to take a boat up to the States, after I've done this one from Mexico to Bahamas. Then Azores (Terceira - looking forward to that, never been there) to Rhode Island...ain't hurricane season fun eh?!!

I'm in the process of ditching my spot in favour of DeLorme. It takes a bit of getting to grips with but should be more useful for the sort of trips we make. I'll see if I can also link it to this site - at the moment, well above my pay-grade!! Tony

Re: St Martin to E Spain

At this point (midnight Friday on Satuday) the tropical area is clear, the analysis shows a possibly re-building High and the 4 day NOAA shows High to be 1028 just SW off the Azores.

Longest grib I can get is 10 days' worth and there is nothing menacing in it. Moderate then light on the direct route, very rainy and decent S to SE draft on the N side of the ridge.

Fair winds! I will be watching your Spot now.

Looking forward to hearing from you again soon!

Cheers,
barnakiel

Pleasant journey, Boatie. Catch some fish, too. Way nicer than oysters...... ;-)

My data downloads are restricted right now. Can somebody post Boatie's most recent time and position? Thank you.

Re: St Martin to E Spain

OK guys - How does one get one's spot shared page onto CF - ? Also, just playing with a DeLorme inreach - same question!!

I've got a couple of long trips coming up and it might be fun if I can get the necessary button pushes sorted out!
