Yeah...I really didn't really see much point in that one...Sportkilt has a muted tartan that I like called Jolly Roger...but their kilts are cheap crap from what i hear...I doubt the quality is there....RealTree would be funny though...

Wife is going to make me a couple of cargo kilts out of a bolt of twill we have hanging around here....I'd love to have a good wool great kilt in one of my two clan tartans, but jeez...every thing I have seen starts around $55.00 a yard..

It gets worse Margo, the the little cat I had tattooed on my tummy chasing a mouse into my navel is now a tiger chasing a 'possum and the petunia on my butt is now a sunflower that is wilted. I really need to get my birthday suit ironed.

eh...wash in hot water...tumble dry hot..it'll shrink...just leave out the Woolite.

Kilts ain't cheap. I've got a couple I usually wear to the Renaisance Festival. Tried riding a motorcycle in one once. Gets a mite breezy. I don't know why they ever went out of style.

They are a little more mainstream outside the US...but even here they are pretty much a statement...several athletes, bunch of rockers...and of course the Scots...
Got interested in the them awhile back...they are definitely expensive, but if you research and know what you are getting there is alot of value there...the Utilikilt is pretty expensive, but are a really great company t work with, and their products are outstanding, and a good place to start...there are others out there not as expensive....Don't, Please, don't buy an acrylic kilt...ever see acrylic burn?
Yikes...

DW is going to make me a couple cargo kilts out of twill, and I am working on one made out of Sniper camo...ought to piss off some locals out here...they need shook up occasionally anyway...

The ladies invariably like them...unless you are a complete trog...

Hmm....I'll ask the next question in another thread...drifting a bit here...

I've had lots of favorable comments from the ladies too. Invariably I get asked what I wear underneath. I say, well what are you wearing? Then I tell 'em I'm strictly regimental and they mostly wander off wondering because they don't want to ask what that is and look dumb. LOL.
