HAHA you two!

Is it degenerates that think alike, or just sailors???
I had the same thought in my head... We can get money for those???

Congratulations Neil... I just parted with a life long love too... I know exactly how you're feeling... (I hope you got more money for yours!)

New chapters and new opportunities... You my friend are not going to believe how liberating it is, and what is likely to come to you down the road...

The wind is shifting hard here too... I hope it blows me in your direction...

Ed
PS (thanks for all your help, I'll update you in a PM soon)

Thank you mate, yes its a bit a relief from expenses and maintenance ,, hate to see the boat there empty and with maintenance bills often, also I want to say that the CSY its a tough boat to sell , not many people are interested in a 30 something years old boat, I invest money and time in gear and refits so at end this work well for me since the surveyor only found minor things like a stuck not working bilge switch and other minor stuff...
And to answer other questions if I can or will get another boat, well I work with boats so the deals are there and financial resources are not a problem for me ,,, I just need a break from boat ownership.... Cheers.

I understand your feelings. We do get attached to our animals and things! I still have farm equipment from the 40's and 50's. I even have names for them. We always hope to sell to someone that will appreciate and take care of them. Even if it does not always happen that way. My boat is in San Felipe, Baja California, Mexico. When you have time and get the "bug", send me a message, and we can sail the Sea of Cortez. I am semi-retired so "kindof" free. Have a nice day. Hector

I tried to sell my old lady, but ended up keeping both her and the boat.

I know exactly what you mean!

Those couple trips a year, average $ per trip = charter a new boat, and no headaches/maintenance!

A 30 something boat is almost as hard as selling a 43 year old boat!

You got my point then... the "too good to pass up deal" will fall in your lap when the time is right!
