I sold the old Lady yesterday!!!

Well, like the title say, its a sad feeling , 12 happy years, many adventures and lots of bad moments to, like some Hurricanes... but the day arrive yesterday , a happy family want to continue or start a new adventure, they are lucky since the boat is in turn key pristine condition and I don't have anymore that free time to enjoy sailing again,,,,

I can say thanks Old Lady for taking care of me and my family on those tricky moments , I will never regret of that day when a friend ask me if I want to sail with you to far out destinations ..

I just make a deal with the buyer, you take care of the boat or forget the deal,,, he laugh at me and promise to keep it in top notch condition ...
Well maybe in a short future I have some more free time to own a boat again but in the meanwhile I love to sail in friends boats and don't worry to much about maintenance Lol... or in any customer boat with the pretext that we need to test this or that haha....

Happy sailing.....

This is always a weird stipulation I will never understand. The Terms of the sale are the new owner must keep his property up to your standards?

Silly to mire a business transaction in your emotions.

Condolences for your choice to change priorities in life.

Is just a way of talk, off course the owner can do whatever he want mate...
By the way I'm linked to the boat bussines so I don't change any priorities...

Re: I sold the old Lady yesterday!!!

Congratulations I think?

When we bought out boat the POs had lived aboard for 25 years. We were conscious of the boat being their home and we almost felt like we were adopting one of their family members.

Don't worry, I am sure she is in good hands. I wish I had all of the details of where our boat has been. It would be fun to write a biography of the boat from her perspective as she was sailed by different owners.

Thank you, yes I'm happy after all, sad but happy because I'm out of time to enjoy the boat, also based in a Caribbean island is almost dodge bullets every season in the summer, and trust me I have a bad time in august and sept, some folks say there is 2 happy moments when you own a boat when you buy it and we you sell it, there is 3, when you sail the boat to, at least for me, and maintenance and refits its something I enjoy so much with this boat... Cheers.

They say the only thing better than owning a boat is having friends that own boats! 😀

Let me guess...you're still dreaming of owning a boat.

Always , but I want to be millionaire on time first,, Seriously I think last year probably I made 4 or 5 trips to the nearby islands, and this year nothing, the boat spend the last 6 months in the hard , and then the hurricane season meaning more boatyard ,, when the cane season is over usually I splash the boat in the water and dam !!!no time again... since the last 4 years....
