To each their own. I have a priceless bookmatched teak interior that is out of this world, and if my wife really wanted to paint it for any vaguely reasonable reason, I would do it for her in a heartbeat. Guess we all have different attitudes. The rub is I know my wife feels the same, and is more than willing to make huge sacrifices to accomodate me as well. She's proved it many times over, as have I. Such is marriage-sometimes.
