Re: Best boat for a family

I'd find it hard to go past the Beneteau 423.

Plentiful at your destination, good cruising boat, well priced. A lot of boat for not too much money.

Re: Best boat for a family

If you will be years in USVI prior to setting off, I would consider buying a boat with good bones in the 35 to 50k range then fit it out with the things you want they way you want. There is nothing like knowing the ins and outs of your boat and how it components are installed and by whom. Always gives me more assurance knowing at what level of quality and care the items were chosen and fitted. You will also probably end up with a better quality to price point boat and possibly allow you to work with a larger boat.

Fair winds!
Thanks for the comments. It is good to know that we have launched a few cruising dreams over the years (besides our own). We look forward to meeting you all one day!
