And they say you'll never see snow in Fiji.

Re: Almost 750kg Cocaine on Yacht in Vanuatu

Was owned by the same guy who owned Friday Freedom (busted with 300kg in Bundy 2011) Crew did a runner and abandoned the boat after FF got busted so yacht was detained & searched by Vanuatu police but nothing found. Nearly 2 years later Oz Federal Police show them a few search tricks and voila. The expat community here is a little depressed we've been so close to the snow slopes for 2 years without knowing it.

Think about return on your money if you could have bought this boat at a police sale and discovered in your rebuilding that the value of the cargo was a 1000 times your purchase price....

No, but the War on the Terror of Not Having Enough Drugs is really coming along nicely.

With that much blow on board, I'm pretty impressed they could find Vanuatu.

Re: Almost 750kg Cocaine on Yacht in Vanuatu

if the feds are like most other cops here the real weight will never be known after all funding activities takes money and we all know the Australian government is broke so maybe the feds are going into a self funded regime I mean how ironic using cartels money to catch cartels

personally i think the vanuatu government should take control of it,and sell it legally alongside their hulluciogenic "kava root" products................

it would do wonders for their tourism for a couple of years

We're not going to win anything if we don't get more DEA agents. So we need to steal people's money and property to fund this.

Re: Almost 750kg Cocaine on Yacht in Vanuatu

I wonder if we spend more on trying to stop drugs than the value of the drugs that are smuggled. It would be interesting to know. It seems pointless to spend so much money on such an effort in futility.

We never fought a war on drugs. It has been a mild skirmish at best.

We just had a politician (Nixon) who called it that one time because it sounded strong, and he knew the media would adopt it.
