Re: Help Us Track a Missing Person

You are correct Extemp. I hope she is ok. The boat attack side story just goes to show that even the "safest" areas, which is where she dissapeared, can be dangerous at times.

Re: Help Us Track a Missing Person

the pic of the gurlee in the pic looked like it was taken in a police station. sometimes folks disappear for reasons of their own and turn up later in situations best avoided.
is she a family member to you??
the facial expression and background markers on the wall seem a lil mug shot like...as in line up in a police station picture..speels mugshot to me......

With all due respect for both you and this potentially serious situation.....
What relation are you to this person??
Point being, it would be a shame for good intentioned people (Cruiser Forum Members) to help some with not so good intentions to find someone!
I do hope you don't take my question as non sympathetic.

Best Regards and luck to Yael.

BTW
I find it ssomewhat strange that the OP has only posted 3 times and never did reply to Extemp's comment above.

This is kinda why I was following up..... to see if anyone had heard anything.
I do know that the OP was still viewing the thread when I posted and therefore did see my post. They chose not to respond.
I hope all worked out.

Who knows, but it doesn't look like any of the back drops of any of my youthful photo sessions ;-) And it's likely that MOST disappearances are voluntary. No relation what so ever.

Extemp.

Hate to argue with you Zee, but the background looks more like the common slot walls a lot of stores have.

Agreed though, although the OP posted, we do need to be careful about both providing information and speculating... it's this interweb thingy that one can't be so sure.

Perhaps if someone does know her, advise the OP to contact the local police in their town/city, and that if someone does know, feed that information to the police. Keeps the nefariousness down that way

both provide similar backing--i would tend to believe a store would be last place her expression would be appropriate, however.

Yeah I agree that something seems a bit suss with this. The conversation was flowing until challenged then it stopped. Now another brand new poster posts a photo of a young lady with the same first name.

Ground Dove please tell us more - did you know Yael or else how did you find this photo which may or may not be the Yael who was pictured in the initial post.

Re: Help Us Track a Missing Person

It is the same person, and it certainly doesn't look like she's under any sort of duress. Quite the opposite.

Having a 24-year-old daughter myself, I can understand that--even though she is an adult--her family might be worried about where she is and what she is doing. Nonetheless, the main point is that she IS an adult.

In any case, if you look around the album that the above picture came from, it is obvious that she is in Bequia (or was, a few months ago) and just as obvious, I think, that she is having the time of her life.

Re: Help Us Track a Missing Person

My guess would be that they "found" her shortly after the last post and didn't think to follow up. Once an EMERGENCY isn't, things calm right down ; -)

I met her on my travels. Glad all is O.K.
