Bermuda to Halifax in Mid May

Hi all,

I have a unique opportunity to sail from Bermuda to Halifax as paying crew on an Open 60. I don't know much about the Atlantic, honestly, and the pilot chart only tells me so much. Can anybody tell me what the conditions are likely to be like and what the typical routing is?

I plan to put the deposit down as soon as my boss gives the green light for the time off. I am seriously excited about this.

Weather has usually settled down by then. Last 10 yrs or so, we have been getting a lot of south- easterly at that time of year. You gonna miss the big Fitted Dinghy races on May 24, in St.Georges, Bermuda's un-official start of summer.

Thanks. Sounds like a nice broad reach with the occasional front passing through to keep things interesting. Actually, it should only take 4-5 days, so we may or may not hit a front, I guess.

The boss gave me the green light, so I just sent in my deposit!
