Five Year Wage Freeze For Bureau OF Meteorology

Here's the Sydney Close Waters Forecast for this evening's Synoptic Situation,

Weather Situation
A south to southwesterly flow over the waters will tend southeast to northeasterly during Tuesday as a high pressure system moves over the southwestern Tasman Sea extending a ridge to the northwest. On Thursday winds will turn more west to northwesterly ahead of an approaching trough. Bureau staff have been fighting for years to hold on to the conditions we have, but they are under attack. The Executive and Government want to see Bureau staff go backwards. This 5 year pay freeze - while we defend our allowances and conditions - is hurting us and our families. We love the work we do, we know you value it too. Please support us to get a fair deal. Authorised by Nadine Flood CPSU National Secretary.

If you are Australian, you might want to write to your Member of Parliament and let them know what you'd like to see happen here.

Re: Five Year Wage Freeze For Bureau OF Meteorology

You're welcome, Wottie.

It seems to me that fishermen, who may not be so active on forums for yachties, may also need to be clued in. Any ideas?

It's sorta like the illegal AIS signal float markers for submerged nets in that both threaten seafarers.
