Leopard 45

Hi Cruisers,

Robertson & Cane Leopard 45 for sale... built 2011, it's 2012 model.
Just completed her service in Sunsail's charter fleet and still in great condition. In the words of the base manager she "has no history of serious grounding or any other major damage – she even managed to avoid most damage from lightning strikes through the years, so is a good sound vessel."

Engine hours: Port 2742 hrs
Stbd 2736 hrs
Generator 4321 hrs
For a complete inventory please contact me.

She's complete and ready to sail. I'm happy to offer free delivery to Florida and for anywhere further afield then we can discuss options.

She's listed at USD 375,000 but I can consider offers for a quick private sale. Please contact me at pointonr@gmail.com or message me here.

thanks
Rick

Re: Leopard 45

Also known as a Sunsail 444, she's lying in Placencia, Belize just 700 nm from Florida and on the West edge of the Caribbean.

Interior shots from the original survey in 2012, should have some up-to-date interior photos to share shortly.

Inventory includes everything ready to charter down to the knife and forks. Though be aware that the tender and outboard are not included.

Re: Leopard 45

To avoid confusion, you have a Leopard 44, not a 45 and should change your thread title. The 45 is new for 2017.

This is a 4 cabin layout, correct? What electronics does it have? Water maker?

Which engines/hp? Sail drive?

Re: Leopard 45

Apologies for any confusion - she's definitely a Sunsail 444 from Robertson & Caine. Please advise me, how do I change the thread title ?

It is a 4 cabin, 4 heads layout. I'll attach the original specification to the thread shortly which details most things, including the engines & electronics.

Re: Leopard 44

Please find atached pictures of her contracted specification, plus the engine specification plates. This model was fitted with 2 x Yanmar 39 hp engines with sail drives (in lieu of standard 29 hp engines)

In terms of the principal electronics, she has:
- Colour chart plotter
- Autopilot
- Wind instrument
- Tridata & depth transducer
- Compass at helm position
- VHF radio with external speaker
- Generator - 6 kw supplied from aft fuel tank
- Air conditioning System
- CD player with two Polyplanar speakers in saloon, cockpit & foredeck
- 2 x Solar panels each fitted to hard top

There is no watermaker, although I am separately listing a standalone portable gas/petrol watermaker for sale, which I bought to cruise remote areas and shipped to whichever Sunsail base we started from.

Re: Leopard 45

Hi Rick - a Leopard 44 of that vintage is something we've been looking at. You're not far from us in Houston, TX. Can I ask, has phase-out already been done on this cat? Or is it still in the Sunsail fleet? If it has been done, can you provide a list of what Sunsail did by way of repairs during that process?

Re: Leopard 45

By the way, I like the name. Does it mean "big leopard" or "beijing leopard"? Lived in Shanghai for three years.

Re: Leopard 45

Hi Sopwey,
Yes the name means Beijing Leopard as I've been Beijing based for the last 10 years...
To answer your questions:

1. Has phase-out already been done on this cat?
It is in progress now and expected to complete end-September.

2. If it has been done, can you provide a list of what Sunsail did by way of repairs during that process?
As it is in progress, I don't have this information available yet. However a survey has just been undertaken and once the results are available then I can share these...

If you'd like more information and for further photographs, please write to me at pointonr@gmail.com

best regards
Rick

Re: Leopard 45

Hello Kmartin
Will share current year pictures when I receive them. To clarify, this vessel has NOT been struck by lightening though it is a regional hazard.
Best regards
Rick

Re: Leopard 45

Hello Cruisers,

I now have a library of detailed and current photos of JingBao, Leopard 44 / Sunsail 444 Here is a small selection of the overview photos and you can see that she's still in near new condition. If you want to access the full collection of 512 current photos then please email me at pointonr@gmail.com

These current photos were taken by the surveyor and prior to Sunsail undertaking the phase out works. So you can see the defects he has spotted and subsequently you can also check that they have been fixed.

List price is USD 375,000, though I will consider offers for a quick and broker-free sale.

thanks
Rick
