Robertson & Cane Leopard 45for sale... built 2011, it's 2012 model.
Just completed her service in Sunsail's charter fleet and still in great condition. In the words of the base manager she "has no history of serious grounding or any other major damage – she even managed to avoid most damage from lightning strikes through the years, so is a good sound vessel."
Engine hours: Port 2742 hrs
Stbd 2736 hrs
Generator 4321 hrs
For a complete inventory please contact me.
She's complete and ready to sail. I'm happy to offer free delivery to Florida and for anywhere further afield then we can discuss options.
She's listed at USD 375,000 but I can consider offers for a quick private sale. Please contact me at pointonr@gmail.com or message me here.
Apologies for any confusion - she's definitely a Sunsail 444 from Robertson & Caine. Please advise me, how do I change the thread title ?
It is a 4 cabin, 4 heads layout. I'll attach the original specification to the thread shortly which details most things, including the engines & electronics.
Please find atached pictures of her contracted specification, plus the engine specification plates. This model was fitted with 2 x Yanmar 39 hp engines with sail drives (in lieu of standard 29 hp engines)
There is no watermaker, although I am separately listing a standalone portable gas/petrol watermakerfor sale, which I bought to cruiseremote areas and shipped to whichever Sunsail base we started from.
Hi Rick - a Leopard 44 of that vintage is something we've been looking at. You're not far from us in Houston, TX. Can I ask, has phase-out already been done on this cat? Or is it still in the Sunsail fleet? If it has been done, can you provide a list of what Sunsail did by way of repairs during that process?
Hi Sopwey,
Yes the name means Beijing Leopard as I've been Beijing based for the last 10 years...
To answer your questions:
1. Has phase-out already been done on this cat?
It is in progress now and expected to complete end-September.
2. If it has been done, can you provide a list of what Sunsail did by way of repairs during that process?
As it is in progress, I don't have this information available yet. However a survey has just been undertaken and once the results are available then I can share these...
If you'd like more information and for further photographs, please write to me at pointonr@gmail.com
Hello Kmartin
Will share current year pictures when I receive them. To clarify, this vessel has NOT been struck by lightening though it is a regional hazard.
Best regards
Rick
I now have a library of detailed and current photos of JingBao, Leopard 44 / Sunsail 444 Here is a small selection of the overview photos and you can see that she's still in near new condition. If you want to access the full collection of 512 current photos then please email me at pointonr@gmail.com
These current photos were taken by the surveyor and prior to Sunsail undertaking the phase out works. So you can see the defects he has spotted and subsequently you can also check that they have been fixed.
List price is USD 375,000, though I will consider offers for a quick and broker-free sale.
The post-charter survey of Sunsail 444, JingBao, is now available Sunsail phase out are working through the short list of findings and recommendations. The bottom work (requiring haul out) was done within a week
Please contact me at pointonr at outlook dot com if are interested to see how well she has survived 5 years in the Sunsail charter fleet....
