I have both the 8 ft and 7 ft models for sailing the 8 ft sails best of the 2.
there is wider beam for your legs to stretch out beam width.
lows back against 1 gunnell feet against the other.while tacking you can reverse petitions 7 ft only allows forward aft sitting unless your 5 ft of less. beam difference isnt but 3 inches but big comfort difference in those 3 inches. a 7 ft sail of 40 sq ft with the single reef allows stronger wind sailing so i use the 7 ft sail on the 8 ft model.
the 8 ft 50 sq ft sail better suited for light wind.
I love my fatty knees.
