Thumbs up 108' ex US Navy training & research vessel

Sweet! I'd buy it and turn it into a live aboard, but the Admiral doesn't think that it's big enough! LOL

"you're certainly not going to take a wood hull into ice!"

The Calypso???? Tens of thousands of fishermen who live in places a lot harsher than Marina del Rey????

Ya do know what that modified lifeboat was made out of, don't you?

USS YMS-328 was a USN Minesweeper in WW2. Later she became John Wayne's yachtthe Wild Goose.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USS_YMS-328.

Re: 108' ex US Navy training & research vessel

In all seriousness, if I lived in the Seattle area and could rally some help, I'd love to see that boat cruising Puget Sound loaded with high school kids doing research. I wonder if there are any foundations or local tech millionaires who wouldn't mind helping something like that happen...?
BTW welcome here!
