Mastervolt masterhunt eset

I am about to replace the house battery bank on my boat.

I need to change some of the initial (now locked) parameters. The Mastershunt manual says to "reset" the Mastershunt to do this but offers no instructions on how to reset.

I have tried disconnecting batteries by removing leads off batteries which didn't work.

Any suggestions please?

You have to enter the new values on the startup screen.
See chapters 6 & 11 for information how to reset the setup.

Re: Mastervolt masterhunt eset

Thanks - I had seen that manual.

The manual says "If you want to alter a first start up variable afterwards, resetting the settings is necessary."

There are no instructions on how to do this other than by using the MasterAdjust software. I do not have a PC-Link connection.

Is there any other way of resetting the MasterShunt and/or Masterview?

If I leave the battery setting as "Wet" but install AGM batteries, what problems may occur?

There is no Wet/AGM settings in MasterShunt configuration tab on MasterAdjust. I can see battery type, but it is automatically selected and greyed out. Only in AlphaPro there is possibility to select battery type, but my guess it just makes preset voltage for AlphaPro to change. There are User defined/Flooded/Gel/AGM/MLI options. I can check later on if you need.

Re: Mastervolt masterhunt eset

You can "easily" reset MasterShunt via Masterview. First you must enable Configuration in MV Easy and then go to Shunt tab and choose Go to Configuration, Battery > Reset Settings. After reset you will have to configure Shunt settings. Here is some shots of Masterview and screenshot of MasterShunt configuration tab, so you can see all possible settings. Hope it helps.
