Victron Inverter Clicking On/Off

I have a 220v 2000w Victron Inverter. When I turn it on it just starts clicking on and off all the lights go on then off theres no power from it. I opened it and there appears to be a relay inside thats clicking on and off.

Just wondering if anyone has experienced this before or may now the cause?

Thanks

It may be low voltage situation.

Does it still happen if you run the engine at a fast idle with the alternator voltage output over 14 volts?

Yes I have checked voltage. I have as well tried it on two entirely different battery banks both over 600ah. I have used different cables. As well as trying with engine and generator charging.

We installed it made couple nescafes and then in the middle of one it shut down and went into this on off on off....... mode.

Re: Victron Inverter Clicking On/Off

sounds like the transfer switch may have failed; is the unit under warranty?

Mine has the option for a remote on/off switch and I have had that switch fail. If you do use a remote switch there should be an overide switch on the side of the inverter which you could try.

My Viltron inverter/charger was doing the same thing. I found it to be a bad connection at the AC in (shore power)/AC out plug/socket on the unit itself. In my case it caused a meltdown at the plug/socket due to heat caused by the bad connection.
