Crew Wanted: New York to Maine - 1 month.

Hi, have sailed my Nonsuch 30 up from Cuba, currently in NY and looking for a someone to crew for the next month or so to Maine. Experience not nessacery but must be a practical person, would help if you have done a bit of camping/travelling. Boat has no fridge and no hot water heater, but otherwise very easy to sail/stable and nice to live on.

Looking to spend time in some of the historic smaller ports. Only expense is half of the food costs. Let me know if you have any more Qs.

Non-US cruising friends have had mixed welcomes when they entered the US directly from Cuba...I had dinner with a German, last week, who was denied a US cruising permit. However, that was in Miami where anti-Cuban sentiment runs high.

You might be better going to the Bahamas before entering US waters. You also need a US visa as you will be entering on a non-commercial vessel.

I would be game for that. Male, 34, Lots of experience being in very remote places, back county etc. Spent a few weeks in coastal Alaskan waters. and lots of other useful skills (professional rescuer CPR, trained in cold water rescue, former EMT, etc). PM me and we can talk.

thanks for the offer, I may end up spending more time in NY, possibly sell boat. will wait and see.
