Re: Delivery Skipper - St. Maarten to Ibiza

Good on you Palarran I agree with all you say. I have crossed the Atlantic 4 times on my old Van De Stadt. 1st time with 2 girls as only crew, neither with any experience. I had much advice from people like rebel heart which had I heeded I would still have a real job, and grey hair. ps I can start tomorrow if your not fixed already!

Re: Delivery Skipper - St. Maarten to Ibiza

I recently ready an article on "Wired", stating that a large portion of the world's economy is on the grey/black market, and that many of the multinational companies sell to them through the back door.

I haven't read to the end of this thread yet but your attitude is obnoxious. Haughty, arrogant, know-it-all and defensive. You should spend some time trying to get your social skills up to par with your self-esteem.

Re: Delivery Skipper - St. Maarten to Ibiza

I only cited the magazine article, because actual experience doesn't count for much here.

Re: Delivery Skipper - St. Maarten to Ibiza

I still have the tears running down my face from laughing when I see the photo of Kerry the delivery captain. This thread is the best of this year up 'till now!

ciao!

Exactly. And the pessimist is an optimist with experience! So, that would make a pessimist an optimist with wisdom that came too late

Big 2nd here. I wouldn't work for this guy at 3X his offered rate of pay.

Obnoxious - Check
Haughty - Check
Arrogant - Check
Know-it-All - Disagree
Defensive - Check

I can definatly be an obnoxious, arrogant prick when I'm on the defensive. But I typically don't try to impress as being a know-it-all. If I thought I knew it all, I wouldn't participate in this sailing forum.

Did you happen to read the post where I apologized to Shorebird for my tone?
