Re: Antarctica & Falklands 2016

Hi,
I am 24 years old. I would love to cross the Atlantic Ocean and then reach Cape Horn and Antartica after my Master Degree in Electrical Engineering I had 2 weeks ago.
I have a dinghy, a laser 16, in Italy, with a great experience in the Mediterranean Sea across Italy. Unfortunately I never sailed across the Ocean but I am sturdy and very curious to do it. I am a very passionate and available person to help and work cooperatively on the boat.

Kind Regards,

Antonio

Re: Antarctica & Falklands 2016

Looks like an amazing trip! Wish I could join. Looking for adventure after I finish university in May 2016. Let me know if you're heading anywhere. My girlfriend may also be interested as well. Hope to talk soon! Best, Alexander

An introduction will be highly appreciated.
Thanks for enquiry,

Sounds more like you're looking more for passengers than crew. Nothing wrong with that. It would be an amazing trip!

Not sure a cat has enough "punch" to plow through bergy bits and growlers, not to mention ice flows. Essential when near the shelf. Need a lot of weight and plowing ability to shove aside ice. Cats are more likely to ride up on the ice. Or are you just going down into the 60s and calling it a visit?
