Village Marine Stowaway Watermaker

We are selling a Village Marine "Stowaway" STW-400 watermaker. It is rated at 384 gpd or about 16 gph. We usually produced 12-14 GPH in cold New England waters. The unit is in excellent condition but probably needs new RO membranes. It runs on 120VAC using about 15a.

If you are Bahamas or further bound, this will provide all your water needs.

Included are the main frame, remote control, a few spare filters, the manual, 2 filter housings, and remote valve.

In the mainframe are the membranes, high pressure pump, valves, control boxes, and external plumbing and electrical connections.

The remote control center allows you to run and monitor the salinity ppm of the water maker without direct access to it.

This unit was installed in the boat by the previous owner around '04 or '03 i think. We used it for a couple of years, but water is easy to get at marinas in New England and Florida. It was pickled and preserved with pink antifreeze in about '07 or so and has not been run to make water since then. I think there are less than 50 hours on it. At this time, it powers on, does a control self test and says "Standby".

*** You are almost certainly going to have to replace the membranes and go through a complete commissioning. ***

A new STW-400 sells for about $12,000 which includes everything you need for installation. A new remote control sells for over $700 at West Marine. This offer includes most main components except the LP pump, but none of the hoses, plumbing fittings. You will also get a filter starter kit.

We are asking $1900 for the package, but will entertain all offers. You will have to plumb in the unit with filters, valves, and a low pressure lift pump and go through initial installation procedures. The manual is included.

The water maker is located in East Central Florida.
