Used can be a good deal if you pay less than 1/3 the cost of new, as you're getting only half the lifespan and the back end of it to boot, and not pleasure of new. There is a lot of variation in price and quality in inflatable dinghys so make sure you are comparing apples to apples. People have told me that PVC falls apart real fast in the tropics. Get hypalon if you can find one.
