NO I am not

Two years ago I was involved in a major refit of "TYCHE" ex "LOVELY LADY".......Whover surveys this vessel needs to take VERY close look at the HULL and its parts.

We met our newest bestest friends because they were quoting Captain Ron at Munchies down here in Hope Town and we responded in like. Trivia time... what was Captain Ron's last name? Use your noodle, not your google and rewatch the movie if you have to. Did you ever notice he does everything perfectly when he docks other than tying up. I wish we could do that.

Major understatement. The boat is in terrible, terrible shape. A serious case of neglect. It is probably about $200,000 away from being a $175,000 F51.

Shower door

I would buy it -- only if the shower door was fixed.

Wha? What are you guys looking at that tells you this boat is in terrible shape? All I see is a little chipped paint and a bit(!) of peeling varnish. What am I missing?

We saw this boat less than a year ago - back when we were in Kemah.

All I can say is that a large part of the asking price MUST be in the provenance. I'm a real estate appraiser. I can't possibly imagine paying that much for this boat... And I can't possibly imagine swapping our current boat - surveyed at a similar value - for it.

And yes, one WILL find a decent 6 figures in deferred maintenance on this boat, I'm betting.

Um, er, even Google (at least Wikipedia and IMDB entries plus misc. browsing) isn't helping. Although I did turn up a story about the business of the eyepatch. Hint: Snake!

So, c'mon, truth or dare... what's his last name?

Added: Doh! Of course! I was typing the above as Gene41 was posting. Silly me for missing that.

I cannot guess at how many times we've referred to St. Pomme de Terre or "if anything's gonna happen, it's gonna happen out there, Kitty" on our own trips or on charters. Between Captain Ron and Club Paradise, the Caribbean's pretty well covered.
