Up for auction is my 1979 Nor'Sea 27 sailboat, Wanderer (formally ATOM).
I bought her about 3 years ago in the Florida Keys...in the water from her previous owner who lived aboard and cruised extensively.
She is exceptionally strong and nicely equipped for safe , simple cruising. After a wonderful 3 week sail in the Florida Keys, my work picked up...and I haven't been able give the time needed to this wonderful yacht. I had her hauled 7 months ago and had her bottom done and new zincs put on.....no blisters. I am selling...because my plans have changed. She is currently on a trailer (unfortunately not mine and NOT included in the sale...but rentable for transport) and being stored just north of Clearwater Florida.
here's what I can remember...before coffee:...
1979 Aft Cabin, sloop rigged,
US Coast Guard Documented Vessel,
Yanmar 2QM rebuilt 200 hours ago,
30 gallons fuel (replaced original tank w/ brand new),
approx 60 gallons water in 3 tanks,
brand new Tasco 2 burner propane stove...not yet installed,
Isotherm (I think ) refrigeration,
double stainless steel sinks w/ fresh and salt water foot pumps,
head, porta potty,
Sayes Rig self steering gear,
all cusions re-covered a few years ago..in vgc,
sails and rigging:
sloop,
main (2 reef points) and working jib (hanked) VGC,
drifter , needs repair,
genoa, needs repair,
storm jib , vgc,
trisail on dedicated track, vgc,
standing rigging vg with sta-locks,
running rigging....needs replacing,
whisker pole with mast track,
dodger (canvas has been repaired),
sail cover,
lots more canvas,
depth sounder,
handheld Garmin GPS,
ICOM VHF,
CQR anchor, w/ app. rode,
Barnacle Anchor w/ app. rode,
Sayes Rig self steering,
Brand new bottom paint and zincs (2 coats Petit Trinidad),
Tons of extras and cruising spares,
jerry jugs, spare blocks, shackles, bulbs, line, tools, etc..
Charts and cruising books for practically the whole world...
Enough Yanmar engine spares for the next 100 years...

The boat is not mint. She is a strong, proven vessel, with simple systems.
In my humble opinion she needs:
brightwork done,
big clean-up,
roller furling (if so inclined),
running rigging,
possibly new batteries,
then...cast off.
I figured I'd do the clean-up and get her ready...then ask 30-35K....with a broker...
still much cheaper than any Nor'Sea out there , but I have been very busy lately...so, I'd rather see her go for a little less money to someone who really wants her...and doesn't mind getting a little dirty for a week or two.
I have set the reserve price at $25,000.

I've just been told that the boom gallows is cracked...unfortunately...this happened during transportation...fortunately...it's not a hard or expensive fix.

Also on the boat and included in the sale: the winches (Barlow I believe) are bronze self tailers, am/fm stereo, fenders and docklines, bumperboard, assorted dishes and cookware, 4 life jackets, old safety harness, bosun's chair, fish landing net, worldwide power inverter, dockside power cord, mast rraising and lowering tackle,...there is still more..

The boat must go! Someone will get an incredible, sought after world cruiser for $25,000 (reserve price) GOOD LUCK

Hi,
It was listed last week....but didn't hit the reserve ...so I lowered it. I need to sell her. I've owned her for 3 years....and she's never been on EBAY before.
