The new 40 a First Look

The guys at Uchimata are working on hull number one that is heading to Paris for the boat show.

New FP40 Fountaine-Pajot - Uchimata

It looks good. We have a three cabin two head boat being built in July that will be coming into the charter fleet next fall.

The new 40 a First Look

It really looks like a baby Helia. Very looking forward to seeing how well it sails. Thanks!

The word that came to mind for me was "dumpy".

(in the "short and stout" sense, not the "dirty, rundown" sense )

Thanks but it is not my boat personally. I am the fleet manager for a charter company in Saint Thomas. The boat we are having built is for a long time client that decided to buy a boat and place in our fleet.

For all their advantages, cats will always look butt-ugly to me compared to mono-hulls. Even if I own a cat some day, I will always prefer the looks of a nice long mono-hull (think J-class!).

So just sit on your cat and hope some of your neighbours have boat with nice lines.

Re: The new 40 a First Look

By the way they now have an option for 3 cabins 2 bathrooms. Owners suite and a single larger bathroom shared by the 2 port cabins. Makes it a good size with shower and toilet on opposing sides and wash basin central. That is what I have ordered.

Short and stout just makes me a tea pot! Please do NOT tip me over and pour me out.
