Re: Owners

Thanks Martin, that's good of you. Good luck with the lay up process. By the way, Pantaenius told me I'd get a reduced premium during the months my yacht was on the hard - as opposed to being in a wet berth.

Re: Owners

Thanks for comforting me, Martin (MKB53) ;-)

I am sailing a Mahé for 3 years now and I am very happy with it, but still I am always a bit jealous when I see a Lucia, and we saw a lot of them when we were moored in La Rochelle last year.

But you have experience with both and you say the Mahé is faster and more fun to sail. That helps!
One question though: is there a big difference between the 2 boats in hobby horsing, or the comfort when sailing in short waves?

The Lucia is less prone to hobby housing.. It is a little longer but a lot heavier which helps with the comfort overall. A lot more buoyancy in the hulls, especially in the stern.

New owner of hull #71, I will not get to sail it for a while due to work but that gives me more time to make it mine.

Re: Owners

Hello....
I'm new here. We have been sailing our hull #25 for a little more than a year in SW Florida. Some small issues but over all love our Mahe.
Anyone keeping up the owners list ? Hull #25 has new owners...
HAPPY NEW YEAR,
Ray

Re: Owners

Just wanted to add that we are the new owners of hull #28 "Kokomo", and keeping her in Fort Lauderdale Florida. Already added an electric toilet, an inverter and some other goodies. Looking forward to adding AC, but that is for another thread.
Cheers everyone.

Re: Owners

Hey Fiddlerman.....
Looks like this thread is not very active as of late. I don't think anyone is maintaining the Mahe owners list. "Kokomo" appears to be a popular boat name, hulls number 28 and 38.
Hopefully this thread will pick up again.....happy sailing !

Thanks so much! Yes, Kokomo seems to be a popular choice.
We did a Miami cruise New Years weekend and hit speeds over 10 knots about 5 times on our way back home to Ft Lauderdale. Probably averaged 8.5 to 9 knots. These are record speeds for us compared to our previous Island Packet, IP31. I don't think we ever hit 8 knots.

Re: Owners

It's part of the V.I.N. or hull number, it'll be the two or three digit before the last four digits in that number.

Re: Owners

Hay Nauti1,

I've got a 12V breaker issue on port side. Replacing the fan I must have shorted the circuit. Lights and fan are out but I cannot find the breaker. Found the starboard box but nothing on port side...

Any help I would be grateful

Re: Owners

The breakers are in a box under the port bed, on the starboard side.
When you are sitting on your knees to look under the bed it is on your left.
Succes!
