The NMEA2000 cable has 12V otherwise the instruments would not have power, which they obviously have. The 12V is coupled to the cable in the grey junction box behind the fridge

I have just spoken with tech support for Oz. Apparently, our Furuno package is covered by a 2-year warranty. The rub is that FP holds the warranty so all of this has to go through France.

The techie thinks that my problem is caused by the sensors, not the NMEA bus, as the displays are powering up. The wind display shows App Wind but not True Wind, and the Depth/WSPD shows dashes insteads of numbers. They will need to know the exact package, including parts numbers, which only FP can provide.

I have asked our dealer to liaise with FP.

I would recommend taking the numbers off the Furuno electronics yourself and contacting furuno@custhelp.com directly. www.furuno.com

I know from first hand experience that adding the dealer and FP in the mix will take a REAAAAALLLLYYYYY long time to get it fixed.

Just give Furuno your Hull number and purchase date and they will send a local Electronics tech to your boat to fix it. All the model numbers and serial numbers are on the back of each device and all are easy to get to.

Ordered a Water Tank Deck Filler made by Plastimo from Defender.com.
They do not stock them, but are a US Plastimo dealer.

Jef from “Miss Poes” just installed one and I though that was a great idea,
so I figured I had better order one. I was always concerned about not being able to get into that Port tank for either chlorine cleaner or antifreeze for winter lay up.

It was not as cheap as some other models, but it keeps all the Deck fills alike and uniform.

You own the boat and you have the electronics and now you own the warranty. Furuno may be a little slow to understand that, but that's the facts. I live in the US not in France, so they did have to make some calls on there own. When that was all done they asked me for my Hull # and a copy of my sale contract which I e-mailed them both as a PDF.
They said OK now we can send our US electronic support guy to your boat, but we need your Model numbers and serial numbers. Ok another e-mail containing those and a week later a guy was on my boat.
It was fixed and I sent them a nice letter explaining the great service I received and have been VERY HAPPY WITH FURUNO ever since.

If any of the OZ based guys are interested in LED replacement bulbs the best place I have found is online purchase from MarineLED.com.au. They look almost identical to the ones pictured earlier in this thread.

They seem to be good quality and the big Chandleries don't seem to have anything suitable. I have only just fitted mine so I can't give any real performance feedback.

Looks like you guys are having fun chasing Dingys....I have done that a couple of times.It looks like the weather should be perfect untill Friday to go accross.I envy you,hopefully it will be later in the spring for us.

Yes, those are the same one’s we are using. They really look good and are VERY bright.
You will need 10 of the Rear Pin LED’s for all the silver task lights.
Order 4 of the Side Pin LED’s for the Saloon and the one on the Bimini.

G4 6 LED 8-30V WARM WHITE, 1.3 watts
Same light output as approximately a 10W halogen bulb
Lumens: 84

Yup - Oz is used in informal situations a lot of the time. Australia abreviated = Aus (formal) = Oz (informal).

I have fitted the side pin ones but not yet done the rear pin in the silver lights. The silver fitting baffled me. I figured it needed a twist but decided to go back to the thread for the instructions in case I broke something!

Our dinghy is a RIB 310 10.2 and we use a 15hp Merc. It is too big but we like the range we get in the Bahamas.

KOKOMO's dinghy is a Walker Bay 10.2 Genesis. It does fit on the dinghy davits and rides great. We picked it because it carries four adults, has trim tabs, a solid bottom with a rasied floor and rollers to move it around on the dock.

Wish we could have sailed on with Irie Cat and Ocean View.
