Windows 7 starter

Does the opencpn.org file work with Windows 7 starter.I have been able to download the program but when I go to add charts there are none listed to be added. Any suggestions on what to do?

Yes it does work with Windows 7 starter. You need to download the charts from NOAA. Nautical Charts & Pubs

Well first time I have heard that need to download the charts into this program. Thanks. Where does one get charts for Panama, Carirbibean and NW Caribbean

Please click the button with the blue "?" in the OpenCPN toolbar. Then click the "Help" tab. Continue to read the manual........

I've just installed OpenCPN 3.0.2 (Oct 27,2112) and then downloaded some NOAA charts. i followed the help files to direct OpenCPN to my charts folder, but I'm unable to get the charts to come up on my OpenCPN screen. I've tried dragging the charts their (from both My Computer and the Options>Charts folder), but still no response. All I can get is the black scrrn with the outlines. The two icons next to "zoom in" and "zoom out" aren't high lighting either. Any suggestions would be great.

You might have to unzip your charts.I had to,win 7 is truly craptastic.marc
