S-57 Charts

I want to buy S-57 ENC Charts but they ask for an ENC user permit number where do I get this

The only S-57 charts you get for free are for the US.

The rest of the Hydrographic Offices license the S-57 cells in the encrypted S-63 format. For OpenCPN you need the S-63 plug-in.

Thanks, so if I understand, I buy the permit number from o-charts and the other software, use that number to buy the Enc S-57 charts, as I asked for S-63 charts and they said it is only S-57?

where did you ask?
I tried to explain: there are no plain S-57 charts but the ones from the US as dar as I know. All the other S-57 charts are licensed in the S-63 encrypted format.

Charts International, I und we stand the priciple now, just another thing, when I download the fingerprint from o-charts my antivirus block it as mallware is this normal?

Yes, this is a known issue.

If you want to help please send a "false positive" report to the manufacturer of your virus checker.

If you don't have success to get the "fingerprinter" drop us a mail at o-charts and we will send the executable as an attachment.
But we would prefer that the "normal way" works.

I had the same problem as you. Finally, a friend told me that Microsoft has posted an excellent antivirus, completely free.

This antivirus is called "Microsoft Security Essentials"

To download it, go to the Microsoft website.

At first, I had left my old antivirus and I had installed that of MIcrosoft more.

But, it slowed my PC.

I ended up uninstalling my old antivirus and I kept that of Microsoft.

Yes thanks, I bought S63 charts but these guys asks allot of questions, now they want the Public key to be updated can this be done or is it really necessary to be updated?

1 - where did you license charts? Who are "the guys"?
2 - did you go through the step-be-step video that explains how to install permits and charts for S-63
3 - can you post a screenshot which the question you are mentioning? The IHO Public Key should be in place with the Plug-in installed.

I bought the licence from a supplier here, but they are the ones asking for all the info, I havent actualy received the charts, waiting for more than 2 weeks , I told them the public key should be ok
