Route & Mark Manager width

This is a small thing, but slightly irritating.

It's been said that settings in OpenCPN are "persistent" however in the Route & Mark Manager I can drag the window out to a readable size, and set the column widths to a convenient width but when I open Route & Mark Manager again, the widths have reverted back to being narrow again.

Is there a fix for this?

Yes, the setting needs to be saved in the ini file and reused, but this takes additional programming.

You can vote for this feature by signing/ registering into tracker and finding the request and voting for it!!!

Yes, please vote for it! It's part of Flyspray bug #2267 (which addresses persistent settings in all dialog boxes). More votes pushes it up the priority stack!

Ryan,
from the main webpage https://opencpn.org/
Pick "Tracker"
Then "Register"
Then "Login"
Then "Vote" for Flyspray bug #2267

as Jon Hacking suggested.

Voted and DONE! Yay.

Don't know that I can help on Flyspray, as I'm not a programmer.

Ryan, we can certainly use some help from users with editing and correcting the manual. This really is a volunteer task by done by users.
Programmers are best focused om programming!

I think this is something I could do. I'm already the proofreader for the hardcopy newsletter of the Northwest Steam Society four times a year (wife is the editor, and does the website as well). See it here: Northwest Steam Society

How do I get started with OpenCPN? Keep in mind I don't read or write HTML or C++ or fortran or any programming language.

Ryan, Private Message (PM) me. Click on my user name and send me an email you would like to use. I will email you an acknowledgement to make you a manager/editor.

You would need to become familiar with and use Dokuwiki syntax for editing, and you can use the Dokuwiki editor or the Ckgedit editor.
