Possible to get warning on routes under bridges?

Hi All!

I just downloaded OpenCPN and learning its features. I have a sailboat and know its mast height. Is there a way to configure OpenCPN to warn me if I laid my route passing under a bridge that my boat may not fit under? all bridge information is already there if you double click on it but I cant seem to find a way to give me any warning that my mast might hit the bridge.

Thanks all

Val

That would be really cool functionality if they did. I have bridge problems around my home area and I'm constantly pulling my hair out with bridge clearance research.

There is a popular feature request in flyspray for a warning when a route crosses the shallow depth limit. You could enter a similar request for air draft.

This is a long time goal of mine. To allow plugins access to both depth and overhead height.

This is needed for both the watchdog and weather routing plugin, and can also be compensated for based on tidal height. Currently not implemented because it is somewhat difficult to do and I have so many other things to deal with.

Would be really great to see this as a "route-checker" for a given route.

Btw.: seeing your actual location: go hiking - the cirques are something not to miss!
