Logbook templates, editor manial?

Hi ,

1. Is LoogBook-Konni alive? ( Does some one develop further ?)
2. I would like to create my own template for crew list ( and similar ). Using reverse engeneering and source study i found our magic of #TITLE# and [[/]] things... But... it doesn'T work smoothly . Only for very simple templates (white page and some text).

Is there some docu about "How to create your own ODT template" ?

Cheers,
Registry

Re: Logbook templates, editor manial?

Hello,

An illustration worth a thousand words, I put in c / c screenshots.

1. The elevator that allows you to choose the model that you want to modify / improve;
2. The window that allows you to launch the editor (LibreOffice or other), just click OK and if the path is correct (put the path in the logbook settings), LibreOffice or other opens automatically;
3. The model that can be modified at will (the labels start with L, as a label) and then save. Note the hooks and braces that must not be removed. Also note that by clicking on "View" in the Logbook, it is possible to continue to appreciate the changes made, after having saved the changes.

The manipulation is exactly the same for an edition in HTML (which can be saved in PDF) but a little more complex because it requires the use of a free soft specific KompoZer.exe.

At the end of the illustration, I put the screenshot of a Logbook edited with LibreOffice, and another edited in HTML ...

Re: Logbook templates, editor manial?

OpenCPN is powered by volunteers. Everyone is a volunteer, programmers, beta testers, troubleshooters, forum support, wiki editors, website maintenance, etc. It is not required, but we do hope that Users will contribute in some way.

Providing better information for the manual, editing the OpenCPN Manual and the Plugin Manuals are two very good ways to help.
The information below is useful to others, thank you Schnapsy.

Rather than leaving it in the Forum perhaps it should be moved into the Logbook Wiki.
https://opencpn.org/wiki/dokuwiki/do...s:logs:logbook

If you wish to do this send me a PM, I will make you an editor and assist you.

.
Hi Rick,

I added this information in the DocuWiki.
Could you, please, check and if necessary correct, what I added.

Re: Logbook templates, editor manial?

That is a great job Schnapsy. You are a fast learner of ckedit and you used the Media manager to locate the photos in manualslugins:logbook even though the program tries to put it elsewhere.

Thank you! Now users can make adjustments to the forms themselves with your good instructions.
