914--banderas bay is a rough anchoring place...barra de navidad is big and protected lagoon with flat water anchoring...we may spend summer here......

Little known fact: your full figured popular heavy cruising hull rolls (and pitches) like a pig compared to a narrow lighter hull (without pretty overhangs). Ketch rig and deck cargo makes it worse still.

I wish I had known some of this a couple days ago. I went into a new anchorage at 8.30 pm and the swell was bad. By the time I got back from a short dinghy trip to shore the wind was pulling me sideways facing the waves. Rolling so bad I got seasick. Ended up leaving and motor saint for 15 miles to the next nearest spot at 1 in the morning.
