Catalac 1996

I have a 1996 Catalac and cannot find the hull ID number. Does anyone have any experience of these Tom Lack designed catamarans who could help me locate this? It must be somewhere, surely??

Tom Lack and Catalac Catamarans LTD did not survive past 1989. Sometime around 1995 the British boat builder Hythe Marine Services LTD of Southampton, started making the Catalac 11M.

During this same time period Blue Water Catalacs Ltd, bought the 8m/9M moulds and a "new" 9M came on the market, renamed the Catalac 900.

On earlier boats built by the Lack family the hull ID number was located on the starboard hull aft under the steering bar.

Thanks, I will have a look at the web site. Mine is a 9m Blue Water type. The Hull ID is not on the starboard hull - not above the water line anyway.

On catamarans, the HIN must be affixed on the aft crossbeam within one foot of the starboard hull attachment.
