Although I've made my living in electronics
for > 30 years, I'm not one that wants to clutter my helm, nor cockpit
, with too much electronics
....but I have my 12" Raymarine
E-120 mounted at the cockpit
table, between and just slightly forward of the dual helms...(and my ST-60+ instruments forward of that....and dual ST-6002+ autopilot
control heads, one at each helm, as having autopilot
control within easy reach is important..)
Please have a look at the photos in the links....

FYI, even though I do have a full suite of modern electronics (and redundant/back-ups), I use paper charts
as my primary charting...so, those that have their heads behind a screen
more often may have different desires, but friends with sisterships (with same chartplotter locations) that are "fully electronic sailors" find this works well for them as well...
I hope this helps...
