Re: Radar - what to look for

Our chartplotter came as a package deal with radar. The Garmin 740/GMR18 combo works well, and I did plug in the AIS data from our VHF/AIS. From a cold start, it does take about 45 seconds before you are ready to transmit. Power usage is minimal, and the filtering works well.
