Masthead VHF Band Width Splitters?

Hi all, can anyone give me some info on mast head VHF antennas, thier wave length etc, also some VHF antennas are fed thru a band width splitter to receive FM radio , does this compromise performance?

Re: Masthead VHF Band Width Splitters?

A decent quality splitter for FM reception, properly installed, should not affect the performance of your VHF. Here's a link for VHF frequencies... U.S. VHF Channels

As you can see they range from about 156 MHz up to about 162 MHz.
