I agree with (name removed).

Stay at home, sell me your boat at a loss. This way you will be safer driving down the highway going to work everyday. Less people on the water so less chance of a collision with another sailboat. I will be safer this way.

Re: What is this guy's deal?

We agree that people have the right to decide for themselves. I am just making a point that the things he told her are pretty much insane. We just wanted some clarity on it. I don't appreciate someone who obviously has no clue what it's like trying to scare her off sailing. If the rest of you think she should be scared, then I will let her know. We are both aware of all of the pitfalls of sailing, but if we're going to be murdered in Florida or Mexico before we take off, maybe we should just stay home.

Re: What is this guy's deal?

you willnot be murdered in fla or mexico. jeeez. the overhype of danger is ludicrous. yes there is danger if you interact with the drug and mafia folks in a shady manner. if you are normal you have nothing to worry about.
go sailing. have fun., enjoy LIFE!!!!

For everyone's benefit, if you are receiving unwanted private messages then contact a moderator by private message. Starting a thread on the issue and naming names can create further problems.
