Inverter/ charger

Hi all
I’m starting to plan out renewing a defunct 800w inverter for a more usable 3 or 4 kw inverter charger to handle more off grid living

Now the back ground
Having just purchased a 60’ aluminium ketch and fitting out for long distance cursing from UK south carrabian ect. We will be keeping thing basic onboard like small fridge independent freezer , tv , and coffee maker on the domestic side. And a full suit of electronics inc radar.
I’ve changed the domestic bat bank to 6 x 200 ah deep cycle , 2 x 200 ah start bats and 2 x windless and bow thruster bats
I’ve a 4kw generator and a wind gen 100w
The boat runs 24 v

I know some will scoff at no solar but that will come in time

So the question is .... what’s the favourite inverter charger in the UK ??

I’m ok on mechanics / rigging / plumbing but lack in-depth knowledge with planning this type of electrical planning

Thanks in advance

Re: Inverter/ charger

Victron Multiplus

3000 watt, pure sine, comes in 24v, has programmable charging, very well built, and can be "chained" if you ever need more power in the future.

Not affiliated, just a happy customer.

Re: Inverter/ charger

I went with a Magnum for a couple of reasons.
First I’ve yet to find someone who has had one fail, and secondly because it has several cards that are available to customers, priced reasonably and easy to replace. I maybe wrong but believe the cards are by function, one charger, one inverter and maybe one control but not sure.
I’m sure there have been failures, just never heard of one yet, but everything breaks, and once and awhile no matter how hard you try a bad one slips out the door.

Re: Inverter/ charger

Magnum's BMK ability to end charging based off endAmps is a huge plus IMO.

Advanced remote required I believe.
