Putting your older boat in charter in Maine

We are finally close to buying our summer cruiser/liveaboard, a boat we will vacation/weekend on right now and live on for part of the year when we retire. We will keep our boat in Rockland Maine in the Penobscot, our favorite sailing ground. Anyone had experience putting their boat with a Maine charter company? What did you like/not like?

We are looking a a 1980's boat 44 feet in great condition.
