There are many threads about the cost of cruising. You might try a search of our forums.

My plan is to cruise a ~40 foot catamaran in retirement. I am planning about $4,000-$5,000 per month in the Asia region. I plan to be in Marina's about 40% of the time.

if you have $4,000-$5,000 per month for one person, how luky you are, but not sure you have the time to spend this amount in a month

I am probably not in agreement with the majority around her in regards to boat maintenance. I won't be doing any major maintenance myself.

I also will be in retirement and fully expect to enjoy my time. I also expect there will be needs to fly to various parts of the world to see family, children and grandchildren

Unfortunately once you find and buy a boat you will be surprised to see how fast money can be spent

How cruel of you to be so painfully accurate.
