Hi Mycroft.

I recall you also posted a link to the Kindle sale on a previous Michael Tougias book, Overboard. Any chance you have some connection with the author or are you just a fan?

Re: Kindle: A Storm Too Soon for $1.99

Nope, don't know the author, in fact I haven't gotten to his books yet. But I check
Amazon every day for Kindle deals and from the reviews, it looks like his books are excellent. I'm very happy to pick up a book that I would eventually probably buy at full price for a discount.

I have to say, if it weren't for the Kindle, I could not be a liveaboard! My partner and I just moved on board last month. I still have two boxes of books to weed out any that are available in digital. If it's available, the book is gone whether I've read it or not. If it's not available, then I have to decide if I'm likely to read it within a year. If not, it's gone as well, (after I've added it to my Amazon wish list).

Sounds like it might be a good read.

Video of the crew of the Sean Seamour II, a Beneteau Oceanis 44CC, being rescued by the Coast Guard...

And a Soundings magazine article...

I just finished reading this book and I am not an avid reader. I finished it in 2 days. Don't miss this one guys. I ordered "Overboard" before I finished this one.
