Looking For Rigger Referral in S Florida

Long story short I need to replace the anchor light. After two trips this past weekend self-ascending up the mast I could not get a position that gave enough leverage to turn the three mounting screws- but I was careful not to bugger them up!

So, in keeping with my philosophy of calling in professionals when needed, I am regrettably going to have to pay someone to do the repair.

Any suggestions on a competent, reliable, insured and (don't laugh) reasonably priced person to go up a mast and change a light? The boat is in Lighthouse Point, but any excuse to take a few days off to move the boat is good with me.

thanks

Bill

Mack Sails is one that uses a single hand rig so only traveltime and up and down the mast is whats charged. They are honest & reliable. Located in Stuart, Fl. phone number 772-283-2306.
All the best,
Clif

Finally gave in and hired a rigger to change the anchor light.

Nance and Underwood did all the things you expect from someone who repairs your boat. They came when they said they would be there, did a good job and had a fair price. Amazingly, there is still a real Mr Nance and a real Mr Underwood.

Heartily recommend them to anyone!

I know this is late, but West Marine in Fort Lauderdale used to have a rigger and rigging service.

Thanks for the names.

But after getting the pricing, I'm taking one more trip up there.
