Plotting Route / Track for Website / Blog

I want to add to my boats website a map showing where i have sailed so my family and friends can see where i have been. I wondering what software/websites do people use for this?

Ideally it will be something that is easy to update as the journey progresses and can be updated from my ipad, but i also have my mac onboard.

I have been saving and exporting my tracks from inavx which i can load into google earth, but sometimes i have forgotten to start tracking, do it is incomplete. I think i would rather forget using these tracks and just manually draw the route on the map.

I have not yet tried to do it on GE and figure i should as around incase there are better options.

hoppy...

Try the FREE Globalstar SPOT Adventure module:
Spot Adventures | SpotAdventures

You can import your tracks and add your photos.

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried it out loading in the tracks i had saved and filled in the gaps manually. Will play with it more later.

I must say it is a good marketing thing by Spot to offer it free to anyone. It got me looking at their products again. Maybe next year

Google will also do it. Take a look at this link for an example:

Re: Plotting Route / Track for Website / Blog

Some time back I did this in Google Maps for a friend's blog. I think the functionality is still there and perhaps improved too. Free.

Any tracking device will provide the same functionality without the hassle of updating the position log.
