There is now a new test version of GE2KAP which has many enhancements to the MBTiles support.
Mbtiles charts have a lot of advantages over kap charts:
- Much faster to create
- No color reduction
- One chart for large paths/polygons rather than split into multiple charts.
- Can have multiple zoom levels

I have added a new section to the SasPlanet Help section called MBTiles .

I am thinking of renaming GE2KAP to something more descriptive since it creates charts from many sources. Any suggestions?

Puzzled...
There is no Sat2Chart_V17_pi.dll in the S2C folder.

The error thrown is not too clear also...

There is no Sat2Chart_V17_pi.dll. I am still using the old ge2kap_V17_pi.dll so copy it into the opencpn\pugins. I haven't decided how to handle.

No way, ge2kap_V17_pi.dll copied just in case... GE2Kap checked enabled. Works fine with 34.0.032, error with S2C

New Sat2Chart beta version
It picks up some fixes for a few problems, see the Changelog.txt file for details.

I also updated the help, changing all references to GE2KAP to Sat2Chart in the text. The images still have GE2KAP they will take awhile to change.

Also I want to point out a feature that most users may not be aware of:
When you are creating charts from SasPlanet the downloads can sometimes take a long time. If you notice this you may do other work on the computer by opening other windows. When the download completes Sat2Chart will notify you by poping up a message "Download complete" every 5 seconds. You can ignore it or complete the chart creation process by opening either the SatChart window or the Sasplanet window.
