That's exactly right. Everything you see in the Google Earth window is going to be a part of your kap file. So, to get rid of those other layers, you go into GE, restore your sidebar, look down at layers, and remove everything that you don't want. Then remove the sidebar and toolbar again, and you can create your kap.

Oh, by the way, I have never had the problem with it only converting a part of the window. No idea what might be going on there.

Yan,

I 'think' that what you are displaying is the 'View chart' image and not the .kap chart displayed in OpenCPN or another charting program that reads .kap charts.

Please show us the chart you create as it appears in the OpenCPN program.

Just found out that oorexx V4.2 does not work with GE2KAP. Please use the older version of oorexx V4.1.2 until I find out what the problem is.

I have been using the older version 4.1.0. and things seem to work fine.

No if its working then you are OK. Its just the new verion V4.2 that has a problem. I opened a incident with the oorexx support.

Just a little snag with the new O beta 3.3.1731. GE2KAP 11.0.0 complains about the version
If you hit the create chart again, everything is fine

Press Create Chart.

I am unable to reproduce this problem with the new openCPN.

Could you check if you have an OpenCPN directory in the following (substitute your user name for "username"):

C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Progr am Files (x86)\

If so what is in it?

PS: FWIW 1731 is a parallel install (on desktop) to 1606 in the programs folder...

Downloaded GE2KAP 11.0 again and ran the repair function.
Everything is fine now. (the message is no longer to be seen)

NEW VERSION OF GE2KAP

I have just uploaded a new version of GE2KAP that does two things:

FIRST: I changed my email address to phigginsca@yahoo.com this version reflects that. Please update my email address if you have it elsewhere.

SECOND: It fixes problems running with oorexx V4.2. It should also run on oorexx versions prior to V4.2.

You can get the new version of GE2KAP here (use this whole link):

Could someone please test it. You can use your existing version of oorexx or if you like upgrade to V4.2 which can be downloaded here:
