Fajardo, PR to Miami, FL

Hi guys, new here. I just purchased a boat in Fajardo, Puerto Rico. I want to try and cruise it back myself to Miami, FL. It is a 50 sea ray sedan bridge with a 500 gallons of fuel capacity. Is there a cruising guide or any information anyone can give me on this trip. Looking to make the trip in early May.

I have thousands of hours cruising between the florida keys, all the way up the coast to Canada, but have never been east of Bimini. Any information on distance, fuel stops, safety, anchorage, customs, etc would be appreciated. Thank you.

Apologies for stating the obvious, but do you have a copy of the Van Sant book, Gentleman's Guide to Passages South?. It mostly looks at the uphill slog the other way, but with your limited range based on fuel capacity, you may find the information in it useful.

Just purchased the book, looks like a great resource. I'm not opposed to purchasing fuel bladders if needed, but if there is a way to do this trip safely without them, that would be nice.
