What are the best cruising guides for Guadeloupe, Dominica, Martinique, St Lucia, St Vincent and the Grenadines.

A another sailor and I are doing an 8 day bareboat charter out of Le Marin, Martinique. We don't know yet if we will sail north and back as far as Guadeloupe or as far south as Mustique and back, or circumnavigate Martinique. The charter company has a base in Guadeloupe so another option is sail one way to Guadeloupe.

We will make the determination where we will sail after some research and on the fly, as always, depending how the wind and conditions are.

Any suggestions for the best 8 day itinerary and why out of Le Marin would be great to hear about.

Are the Cruising Guides by Chris Doyle the best for the Windward Islands?

We used them and though I wasn't that enamoured, they're probably still the best option. As I recall there were someone else's - a French Guy? - at about 5x the price of the Doyle guides, but really can't see how anyone, particularly if just there for a couple of weeks could justify their cost.
