Some folks who have a bobstay attach their snubber to the bottom attachment point of the bobstay so that the snubber doesn't work against the bobstay. Having a dolphin striker makes this set-up all the more necessary.

Is there a thread on here on a good/best way to hook up a snubber? Which leads me to a more general question, why is it so darn hard to get good search results here? I either get nothing or 10,000 hits that seemingly have no connection to my keywords?

Exranger - Are you using the standard search or the google search. The custom Google search works quite well.

You can access it from the search button located near the top of the screen under your own username.

Hi Mike,
If the damage was caused by the yacht sailing around, please try hanging a drogue from the chain as a solution.
If you clip one onto the chain maybe a metre under the waterline, you'll find it stops the bow shearing off quite as quick as she might, giving time for the stern to to catch up and re-align into the wind.
Good to know you came through the night ok - well done.
JOHN
