Best Chain Price in Seattle?

Can someone suggest where to get the best chain price for 3/8 HT in Seattle?

Fisheries quoted $1200 for 250' of 3/8 HT. West Marine Port Supply quoted $940. Both are Acco chain (West Marine said their chain is made by Acco.)

Help please.

If you can use a little more or a little less chain, these guys have decent pricing:
Gr 30 Bulk Chain, Hot dip galvanized

Yellow Pages is your friend. Look up "chain" and find the industrial suppliers. I got a recent quote in Vancouver BC for ACCO 5/16" G4 galvanized from Wesco (make sure you specify galvanized and for gods sake don't call it anchor chain when you call or they will know it was for a boat).

My quote was $3/ft Canadian, 150' i.e. $450. I suspect that 3/8" would be about 1.5x more or around $4.50/ft. So I think your Port Supply price is fairly competitive.

The correct way of thinking should be 'Where do I get the best value for money chain?'

The 'best price' usually means the worse quality.

I presume that Evan got his chain quote from Wesco Industries Ltd., not WESCO Distribution (an electrical wholesaler).

Wesco Industries Ltd. - Wire Rope, Cable, & Slings
